Sales Manager – Strategic Accounts


Strengthen and expand trusted relationships within close-knit, “everyone-knows-everyone” networks, and convert that trust into awarded data center fit-out projects.

MSDM Data Centers has grown more than 300% in recent years, positioning itself as a rapidly emerging specialist in European data center fit-out. We are now scaling our commercial presence further for 2026 and beyond, with the clear ambition to double our business again in the coming few years. To support that growth, we’re expanding a predictable, reliable sales pipeline for the years ahead. In this role, you’ll do the kind of commercial work that actually moves the needle: systematic relationship management with the right decision-makers, and disciplined lead & project tracking that converts into quotes and awards.

Your main mission is to expand and deepen a set of strategic accounts that will shape MSDM’s next phase of growth. This includes relationship-driven contractors like Mercury and Winthrop (with strong Irish roots), alongside other leading data center contractors such as TSL, Exyte, Bouygues and Dornan, plus additional high-potential opportunities as they emerge. You’ll spend real time with people: on-site, in meetings, at lunches, in company introduction meetings and presentations, at restaurants and bars, at industry events and trade fairs, and in the follow-up that turns “nice chat” into “let’s do a project together”.

You translate client needs into comprehensive CSA fit-out solutions: think Structural Ceilings, Internal Walls, Raised Access Floors, Hot Aisle Containment (HAC), and other interior fit-out packages. In close collaboration with our engineers and project managers, you translate commercial opportunities into technically sound and executable solutions. Just as important: you represent how we deliver. MSDM’s work is built on seven delivery promises: Quality, Safe, Local, Get the job done, No Surprises, Competitive and Sustainable: ensuring reliability, predictability and trust for our clients.

Geographically, you’ll operate primarily across Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Denmark, while also exploring promising opportunities in the Nordics. Ireland, particularly Dublin, remains a key relationship hub, as several strategic customers and partners have strong Irish roots and stakeholder presence there. This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in the field and knows that strong relationships are built face-to-face. It’s a highly mobile position where you’ll spend significant time on the road and in the air building and maintaining relationships across Europe.

Your home base is flexible: you may be based in the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland or elsewhere in Northern Europe, as long as you are highly mobile and comfortable travelling frequently.

Collaborating at MSDM

You’ll join a focused international commercial team that combines relationship-driven sales, marketing and estimating into one integrated commercial engine: one shared challenge, one pipeline, one set of targets. You will report directly to the Commercial Director and collaborate closely with colleagues covering other regions or clients, marketing support and estimators to identify the right opportunities, qualify them sharply, build trust with stakeholders at multiple levels, and hand over awarded projects smoothly to delivery.

We think this profile is a good fit

We like to keep your profile as open as possible. Our best estimate is that you will need the following:

  • A proven track record in relationship-led B2B sales where trust and consistency matter, ideally within construction, data centers, fit-out, technical building services or adjacent industries.
  • Strong key account management skills: you can expand footprint inside existing organisations and create momentum across multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of the sector and the ability to translate commercial opportunities into technical solutions together with engineers and project managers.
  • Comfort navigating tight-knit business ecosystems where credibility, etiquette, and warm introductions make the difference and you know how to earn your way in.
  • The discipline to track and steer opportunities: you follow up rigorously, keep your pipeline clean, and move leads towards quotation and award.
  • Confidence to engage at senior level (project directors and commercial directors) with a pragmatic, grounded style.
  • Native English.
  • High mobility: you’re happy to be on the road and on-site regularly across Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, France, and wherever the opportunity requires.
